Hi! I'm megan,
I'm an adventurous designer based in the Fraser Valley, with a broad range of strengths, skills, & interests—always excited to try something new!

Below you'll find a small selection of projects as part of my portfolio, & learn a little more about me. :)

A little about me

Same as anyone, I've always struggled to put myself into words—similar to most. What I can tell you with 100% certainty, though, is that I'm a very excitable person! Always eager to learn and improve, and find it easy to adapt to changing conditions.

It feels like a requirement for any designer to start off in life with an interest in a variety of creative ventures, and I don't feel like I'm any different there. I'd always wanted to be an artist when I grew up (trust me, my mom loves to brag about that, haha), and I don't feel like graphic design is far off from that—starting off with interests in creating things with my hands and customizing anything I could get my hands on, problem solving with code, illustration, photography.. all without knowing what graphic design was. Now, I get to be one of the lucky few that get to do something I genuinely love to do as my job.

Beyond work, my interests range wildly from binging Nat Geo shows, learning about wildlife and prehistoric life, or going out on a hike or play disc golf—to playing a new indie game, or upgrading the hardware on my PC. I also spend a lot of time (and money) on my pets, and have a weirdly strong desire to try paddleboard yoga, or design and build my own boardgame.

I've been called 'free-spirited' (whether that's a good or bad)—I like to live in the present, to make the most of every minute of my day, and to make every day an adventure (I am an ISFP after all I suppose). Despite perhaps some slight time-blindness, I manage to stay well-organized with my work. In any case, I think it's important to try new things when the opportunity presents itself, failing is part of the learning experience, and you can't ever spend "too much" time doing something you love.

Just, please, don't ask me to be your partner on pop-culture trivia night..
